Shielding is used to control or eliminate the effects of undesirable radiation, e.g. EMI, RFI, ESD, etc., which could lead to decrease in the performance of electrical and electronic equipment.
The antistatic materials discharge the existing static electrical charge, e.g. ESD polyester, Kapton, etc.
The conductive materials provide a reliable solution not only for grounding but releasing of the static charges as well. The copper and aluminum foils are most commonly used for this purpose.
